With the staggering game size that took up 12gb of storage space, you might need to check your phone's specifications before you install this game. However, this delightful experience comes with a great sacrifice. This is one of those high-end mobile games, and I am pleased to be able to play at maximum graphics and can still hit 60fps even in the heat of battle. The next thing I want to share is how incredible the graphics and overall sound design are. But most of the players are taking multiplayer –especially guilds and PVP– seriously, which is strongly related to the “pay-to-win” aspect of the game. Therefore, I can’t really give a comment on the multiplayer environment of Diablo Immortal. I usually am a lone wolf and just do my quests by myself. I rarely joined guilds or battled other players in PVP battles. For the record, I am not the most social person in an MMORPG environment. That means Diablo Immortal has some MMORPG traits within it, such as a guild system, Player versus Player (PVP), daily tasks, and the most recent feature that almost exists in every video game nowadays, the battle pass. To put it simply, the difference is Diablo III is pretty much a single-player game with co-op or party mode for up to 4 players meanwhile, Diablo Immortal is a game where every player on the server is essentially playing on the same map. Diablo III is an Action Role Play Games (ARPG) game, while Diablo Immortal is an MMORPG game. Therefore, I will only mention Diablo Immortal and Diablo III instead of mentioning every single Diablo game as a comparison. Just to make it clear, I am not a Diablo master or anything as my knowledge of Diablo games is only limited to Diablo III, which I played religiously on my cousin’s Xbox 360 back in the day. I enjoyed the game so far and I will explain why. Though the PC version of Diablo Immortal that allows players to play cross-platform is being developed following the backlash, the first impression of its being a mobile game is too strong. Even as far as not considering mobile game players as “gamers”. Mobile gaming for the longest time has been considered inferior compared to Personal Computer (PC) or console gaming. Because, well, you guessed it, it’s a mobile game. Since its announcement at E3 2018, Diablo Immortal has been the subject of backlash from the community.
